Three stores wholly owned by GOLDWIN, Saturday in the park, The North Face, and Canterbury of New Zealand, will be launched at the grand opening of the commercial complex MARK IS Minatomirai on June 21, 2013

The GOLDWIN Group (HQ: Shibuya, Tokyo / President: Akio Nishida / First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange: 8111) will be launching three stores, Saturday in the park, The North Face, and Canterbury of New Zealand, at the grand opening of a new commercial complex, MARK IS Minatomirai, on June 21, 2013 in Minatomirai, Yokohama City.

The rollout is part of GOLDWIN’s key priorities of its midterm management plan, which include implementing a multi-brand strategy and transitioning into a demand-based business operation through an aggressive expansion of wholly owned, independently operated stores.

Building on the momentum of a successful launch at Grand Front Osaka in April, GOLDWIN aims to meet the increasingly diversifying needs of its customers by opening three additional stores in the much talked-about new commercial complex.

■Saturday in the park (SIP) was founded in the spring of 2011 as a specialty store with a unique selection from apparel brands marketed by GOLDWIN. It has since opened stores in Marunouchi, Shibuya, Utsunomiya, Fukuoka, Yokohama Tsuzuki, and Osaka.

Whether it’s for an outing with friends or for jogging outdoors, you will find just what you need at SIP. We offer a great selection of comfortable apparel to enrich your life with fitness, health, and fun.

Saturday in the park at MARK IS Minatomirai will offer the finest selection of multifunctional, simple yet trendy apparel, presenting stylish options from the different brands carried by GOLDWIN in the three categories of running, training, yoga, and lifestyle.

We have also welcomed as a new adviser Rikaco, a lifestyle expert, to develop Saturday in the park’s original “my favorite” collection. The new collection, which debuted in March, features daily and casual wear.

For those of us leading a busy city life, heading to a park on a sunny Saturday afternoon provides a restful escape to nature. It’s a special place where people enjoy their favorite activities, and inspire one another to live a free, happy, and healthy life.
