A heart rate measuring outfit for effective workouts and health management
C3fit IN-pulse, a wearable fitness monitoring solution, to debut on December 19, 2014
GOLDWIN, Inc. (HQ: Shibuya, Tokyo/President: Akio Nishida/First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange: 8111) is pleased to announce the launch of the C3fit IN-pulse series, a fitness tracker shirt that monitors physiological signs. The C3fit IN-pulse series will be available on December 19, 2014, at seven of GOLDWIN’s wholly owned shops as well as via the GOLDWIN WEB STORE.
The C3fit IN-pulse shirt uses the hitoe Transmitter 01 to record and transmit certain physiological information such as heart rate and EKG waves. The results are then displayed on the user’s smartphone using Runtastic for docomo, a supporting app from Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT) subsidiary NTT DoCoMo that became available for downloading on December 10, 2014.
The snug-fitting C3fit IN-pulse shirt is made of hitoe, a nanofiber material developed and commercialized jointly by Toray Industries, Inc. and NTT. The fabric itself picks up certain physiological signals of the body and yet allows the user to stay comfortable even after long hours of workout, while the precise data measurement makes it a perfect companion for effective workout, strategic racing, and health management.
GOLDWIN sees the product’s launch as an opportunity to promote the concept of heart-rate monitoring to the general public, including even those who have never given much thought to their own heart’s health. The planned promotional events include the joint production and presentation of HEART BEAT MUSIC, a promotional video in which the music synchronizes with heartbeats, by GOLDWIN and NTT DoCoMo; and workshops at running tracks where the public can learn about and experience the benefits of heart-rate monitoring.
