Goldwin Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Takao Watanabe) announces that it will provide the Japanese ski team SNOW JAPAN* with official uniforms through the company’s original brand, Goldwin, to be worn during the 2025–2026 season. This initiative is being conducted on the basis of the official uniform supplier agreement (for mogul, ski cross, and aerial) with the Ski Association of Japan (SAJ).

Goldwin began supplying mogul, ski cross, and aerial uniforms to the Japanese ski team SNOW JAPAN during the 2018–2019 season, and this marks Goldwin’s eighth year in these initiatives. The 2025–2026 uniforms feature Goldwin’s signature functionality and aesthetics. Goldwin made a variety of improvements at the research and development bases in the research headquarters (Product Research Division, Tech Lab, Production Technology Division) of its Toyama Head Office while leveraging insight from dialogue with athletes. In addition, the company has implemented environmentally friendly materials for these uniforms with a view toward sustainability.

■ Uniforms with Improvements Based on Athlete Requests
The new uniforms for the 2025–2026 season help boost competitive performance in events through an impressive appearance and enhanced execution based on opinions and feedback from athletes, while also boasting Goldwin’s signature multi-functionality and aesthetics. Goldwin has leveraged its wide-reaching insight and technologies cultivated over more than 50 years in its ski wear brand operations to produce a design that has been carefully crafted down to the smallest details. In this way, the company is supporting mogul, ski cross, and aerial athletes in SNOW JAPAN to demonstrate their abilities and show their talents in a global arena.

<A Design Made for Mogul Skiing, with an Optical Illusion Effect and an Appealing Balance with the Pants>
Using last year’s wear as a base, we have added key elements needed for competition while also improving and simplifying the design. We have made minute improvements to the border between colors on the chest and arms, such as by creating a gentle curve to match the color border on the knees of the pants. This design makes movements look more dynamic, thereby contributing to an impressive appearance.

<Mogul Pants with a Careful Focus on Aesthetics while Accounting for the Effects of Wind>
Conventional mogul pants were designed with a generally looser cut for competitive reasons. As such, the wind would cause the wear to cling to athletes’ legs during races, resulting in a lackluster fit and movements that did not appear dynamic. For these pants, we adjusted the amount of insulation and improved the color and material used for the edge guards on the hems. These changes allow the pants to retain a beautiful fit and give a dynamic appearance to athletes’ movements.

<Using a Deep-Red Cinnabar Color Based on Athlete Requests>
This wear includes a deep-red cinnabar color inspired by military commanders in Japan’s Warring States period (spanning from the mid-15th to mid-16th century). This color was originally created from a pigment made with an ore called cinnabar. Deep red was an expensive color in historical Japan and could only be obtained by military commanders with great achievements, whereby it became a symbol of elite troops and strength. We have used this traditional shade of red to support athletes and imbue the wear with a sense of advanced skill and power.
Goldwin’s long-term vision PLAY EARTH 2030 includes a commitment to efforts for improving the global environment by tackling serious environmental issues. Accordingly, we have actively utilized environmentally friendly materials when supporting teams in recent years, such as with the jerseys for the Japanese rugby team in 2023 and the uniform for the Japanese sports climbing team in 2024. Similarly, we recognize worldwide issues in ski competitions, such as a lack of snow and a reduction in the number of skiable days due to decreased snowfall from global warming. Our aim is to tackle environmental issues through uniform support.
■ Provided Uniforms
<Items Used for Mogul, Ski Cross, and Aerial>Warm jacket, warm pants, side zip pants, pad bib pants, middle jacket, raincoat, and warm overcoat

• Warm jacket: The outer shell is made using environmentally friendly materials (including 53% recycled polyester). We have improved the jacket’s waterproofing with full-seam sealing to prevent water from entering at the seams, as well as waterproof fasteners on the front, breast pocket, and vents. The sleeve cuffs have wide hook-and-loop fasteners for an enhanced fit at the wrists. The lining is made with a highly flexible material, providing a comfortable feel that fits well without tightness.
• Warm pants: The sides of the waist feature a stretchable material for a suitably secure fit without feeling too tight.
• Side zip pants: These insulated pants open at the sides and can be worn over a racing suit. Stretchable material at the sides of the waist provides both a comfortably fit and ease of movement.
• Middle jacket: Knitted material is used at the bottom of the sleeves and on the underarms to improve breathability and reduce stuffiness inside the wear.
• Raincoat: This is the first time Kudos XT—a next-generation, highly durable water-repellent technology developed by Toray Industries, Inc.—has been used. This technology allows for highly effective and durable water repellency, despite using a non-fluorinated process. It helps prevent the outer layer from getting wet, even in heavy rain.
