GOLDWIN debuts Ride Grips Socks, cycling socks that minimize power loss during a ride
Outstanding grip prevents slipping inside shoes
C3fit, a high compression wear brand of GOLDWIN Inc. (HQ: Shibuya, Tokyo / President: Akio Nishida / First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange: 8111), is set to launch new bicycle socks made of Nanofront, a fabric featuring superior slip resistance. The new socks will be available in mid-June.
A long bike ride involves as many as a few ten thousand pedal strikes a day. The new socks developed by C3fit offer outstanding gripping power, thereby holding the feet and shoes together and maximizing efficiency during pedaling.
Conventional anti-slip socks have a non-skid material on the sole and provide traction between the socks and the shoes (insoles). But they do not always prevent slippage between the feet and the socks.
By using Nanofront for the entire sock surface, Riding Grip Socks not only offer anti-slippage between shoes (insoles) and socks but also keep your feet, socks, and shoes all perfectly in synch, facilitating highly efficient pedaling for your ride with minimum power loss.
Riding Grip Socks come in both the regular type featuring arch support and the toe-sock type that reduces sweating and facilitates free movement of toes.
*About Nanofront:
Nano-sized bumps on the surface of the fabric provide frictional forces and outstanding slip resistance. Also offers excellent moisture absorbency and dispersion for enhanced comfort and fit.
