The Next Generation of Outdoor Life
Four New Locations to Open This Winter in Niseko and Tomamu, Hokkaido

GOLDWIN, Inc. (HQ: Shibuya, Tokyo/President: Akio Nishida/First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange: 8111) is pleased announce the launch of four new retail stores in December 2014 in Niseko and Tamamu, Hokkaido. GOLDWIN features the next generation of holistic outdoor wear that responds to the diversity and individuality of the rapidly evolving market.

Niseko and Tomamu have experienced rapid growth in recent years as the world’s leading winter resorts, serving a large number of foreign guests. Last winter GOLDWIN experimented with a pop-up store called Mountain Gear Stand Niseko that was geared toward the ski slopes. This winter season, GOLDWIN will launch a total of four stores, three in Niseko and one in Tomamu. Two will remain open year-round and two will open during the winter months only.

GOLDWIN aims to spread word of Niseko and Tomamu’s charm nationwide as well as showcase the next generation of outdoor life through events and more.

The rollout reflects GOLDWIN’s ongoing commitment to its key midterm goals, which include implementing a multi-brand strategy and transitioning into a demand-driven business operation through an aggressive expansion of wholly owned, independently operated stores. We aim to meet the increasingly diversified needs of our customers by offering a wide range of products of various brands.
